Born in the Lyon region, nothing predisposed me, besides my astrological sign Pisces, to take the helm of a sailing boat.
My first contact with the sea was made on the shores of the Var where I was fascinated by the power and beauty of the Mistral. Since then my free time and leisure has been oriented towards water sports. Two short years living on the shores of the Indian Ocean allowed me to obtain the CMAS 3 *, the equivalent of the PADI Divemaster, very convenient for locating your anchor.
I have always admired the long-distance sailors. The books of Bernard Moitessier, Joshua Slocum and Gérard Janichon have filled my library more than the works of Franck Cammas or Loic Peyron.
Indeed it is more the idea of making discoveries along a journey that really attracts me. But it is only by practicing sailing that one learns to sail. In 2006 I met a great sailor, Dario Obere and he showed me the way to acquire my autonomy.
For years, he has been my coach on different boats both in the Mediterranean and the Atlantic where we left in our wake about 3000 miles. In October 2016 I decided to take the Yacht Master Offshore STCW 95 course. Meteor2 and her skipper are now perfectly ready to weigh anchor.
